Life After College

One of the major benefits of joining Sigma Phi Society is the vast community that you join. We want to ensure that this community continues extends beyond time in college, and can be utilized as both a social and professional network. We aim for our undergraduate brothers to be as prepared as possible to enter the work place, with potential internship and employment opportunities. Additionally, we will provide support through interview prep, resume building, and general career coaching. It is important that the support network for Sigma Phi continues beyond the undergraduate experience.

The Society can do much more than build better men; it can help prepare them for meaningful and successful professional careers, and help them build professional networks once in their careers. The Sigma Phi Society’s initiative to provide resources and connections will help brothers launch their professional careers.

The Life After College initiative has three separate components:

  • Online Career Portal
  • Networking
  • Professional development

We will provide a free online career portal for brothers to showcase their education, experiences, involvement, career interests, and resumes for employers to view, as well as allow brothers looking for interns and new employees to promote opportunities within their companies.

We will utilize regional networking receptions, conventions, and key special events to enable undergraduate and alumni brothers to develop strong professional relationships. The bonds created during undergraduate years will not stay behind when members graduate. The relationships developed with fellow undergrads, alumni, and professional leaders should flourish throughout their professional lives. The Life After College initiative strengthens those bonds, while creating lifelong opportunities for both undergraduate and alumni brothers.
