Programs supported by the Educational Foundation
The Sigma Phi Educational Foundation funds the Society's educational programming. This includes the development of three important initiatives:
Sexual Assault Prevention Training
Sigma Phi’s sexual assault prevention program is unique within the Greek community - because of its focus on expanding the benefits beyond our own chapters. We won’t limit Sigma Phi’s influence to the culture of our chapters; instead we expect Sigma Phi to influence their college communities, and as individual brothers to continue to talk about, intervene and influence people beyond just their time in college.
The Sigma Phi leadership academy engages undergraduates from each chapter to participate in a program designed to provide individual leadership development, as well as strategic emphasis for each of the chapters. Specific life and skill development including the sexual assault and bystander intervention training, leadership styles, working as teams, and strategize how Sigma Phi can further develop.
Careers & Mentoring
The Society can do much more than build better men; it can help prepare them for meaningful and successful professional careers, and help them build professional networks once in their careers. The Sigma Phi Society’s initiative to provide resources and connections will help brothers launch their professional careers. The relationships developed with fellow undergrads, alumni, and professional leaders should flourish throughout their professional lives. The Careers and Mentoring initiative strengthens those bonds, while creating lifelong opportunities for both undergraduate and alumni brothers.
